Happy Summer!

A warm "Hello" to anyone who still reads my blog.  I've been taking some much needed short vacations to properly kick off the summer and also planting mental seeds for artistic inspiration.  

I just wrote a new poem "The Opposite of Fair" last week and I'm going to try it out at a few open mic venues to see how well it goes over with the crowds.

I'll be doing my best to share all the awesome sights and beautiful places that I'll be visiting from quaint hidden gems to popular vacation spots.  Stay tuned!

Eargasms All Over

So I finally updated my iTunes account (😜) and treated myself to some new music.  I'm more than satisfied with all of my purchases!  Let me go down the list.

Rihanna did NOT disappoint!  I heard some time last year that Rihanna was working with a plethora of new producers and this album proves it.  She introduced a new style but still stayed true to Rihanna.  She also has some cuts on there that make you wish you were at the beach twerking on the boardwalk.  Thank you Rihanna!  You've helped me cope with the snow blizzard here in DC.

 

Call me biased but Jeremih has never made an album or mixtape  that I haven't absolutely loved!  This one is no exception.  So far I'm feeling "Pass Dat" and another track with Ty Dolla $ign on it.  He's another one who makes music that gets you amped up for summer shenanigans!

And last but not least, BRANDY!  Push through Slayana!

Dear Sweet Baby Jesus,

Please let Brandy, Mo to the E to the, grace us with a new album in 2016!  This song will do for now but I sense I'll be going through withdrawals in a few more weeks.

Bossip Gossip!

Now, I love Bossip.  Their blog keeps things good and messy without compromising integrity (which is more than I can say about another website that shall remain nameless).  Anywhoo I never read the Bossip advice column where readers send in these Dear Abby letters asking for advice... but today, I DID! 

Honestly, it could be a hoax - some person with spare time on their hands hoping that one of their bogus e-mails makes it onto the Bossip site, but when I tell you I got my entire life reading this shit, I got my life and lost my edges!  Take a read and let me know what you think.  Click below:

19 and Preggers
